ViaJournal is a trade name used by the owner identified above. The service is provided in a personal capacity and with the owner's own means; it is not affiliated with, and does not act on behalf of, any hospital, university or research institution.

2 · What data we collect and why

The manuscript and its derivatives are the author team's unpublished scientific work: they are handled in confidence and only the owner works on them. To analyse them we use an artificial-intelligence tool (Claude, by Anthropic) set up so that the content is not used to train models, and to find candidate journals we query public bibliographic databases (OpenAlex, Crossref) with the title and part of the abstract only. We do not share them with anyone else. If you hire us, confidentiality is also set out in writing in the engagement agreement. We do not process patient data: if a manuscript contained identifiable data, we request a version without it before starting.

3 · How long we keep it

Contact data, for as long as the relationship lasts and for the statutory invoicing periods. Form requests that do not lead to an engagement, and any manuscript sent for the Radar, are deleted within 12 months at the latest. Engagement materials are deleted when the engagement closes, or earlier at your request; only the minimum administrative record required by tax law is retained.

4 · Recipients

We do not pass data on to third parties. To provide the service we use these providers: Netlify, Inc. (site hosting and form delivery), Google (email inbox), Porkbun (domain registrar and forwarding of the contact address) and Anthropic (artificial-intelligence tool). Some are based in the United States; those transfers rely on the safeguards each one offers (the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses).

5 · Your rights

You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to viajournal.contact@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).

6 · Commercial communications

We do not send unsolicited commercial communications. We only reply to people who write to us or request the Radar; former clients only hear from us about services similar to those they hired, and can object at any time (LSSI art. 21.2).

7 · Cookies

This site uses no cookies, first- or third-party, and no analytics or tracking tools. (If analytics or advertising pixels are added in future, a consent banner will be required and this section updated.)

8 · Invoicing

Invoices are issued to a natural person or to a private entity. We do not issue invoices to universities, hospitals, institutes or other public-sector bodies, nor for the justification of public funds. All prices shown are final, VAT included.

9 · Scope of the service

ViaJournal provides declared editorial assistance in line with ICMJE recommendations and COPE good practice: it does not write scientific content, does not alter data or conclusions, does not appear as an author and does not submit on the authors' behalf. It guarantees process, not acceptance of any manuscript. Zero-cost coverage is verified as of the date stated in each report and re-verified at every submission, since institutional quotas can run out.
